A graceful embrace of curvature introduces a gentle unfolding of ease and flow upon entry into this idyllic abode. With a Warm Japandi aesthetic, a zen-like oasis is born, with an inviting aura permeating throughout the space. Accentuating an understated blend of form and function — organic shapes, textures and dual-purpose features elevates the simplistic nature of the design. Cladded in light earthy tones coupled with cosy furnishings, the living room emanates a sense of serenity that serves as a perfect spot to relax and unwind. In line with the Japandi design, sleek cabinetry and wood elements of the kitchen cum dining area showcases a seamless combination that is absolutely timeless. Bringing minimalism to the forefront, a clutter-free environment at every corner of the home reflects an essential part of well-being and intentional living. Contemporary design elements of the master bedroom and ensuite separate it from the rest of the home, giving it a personalised take with a central concept of functionality and elegance.
The homeowners were drawn towards the nature of Warm Japandi design and having their own personal sanctuary akin to a tranquil resort. Hence, the colour story stays consistent throughout the home to create visual continuity and a calming effect. At the entryway, a concealed door was integrated as part of the built-in carpentry that extends from the entryway to the living room to effectively hide the bomb shelter in a seamless manner. Curves on the carpentry and masonry work provide a dynamic perspective, emphasising on a unique visual interest in harmony with the sleek lines. To cater for an adequate amount of space for their wardrobe and a study desk, the interior designer suggested expanding the master bedroom by reconfiguring the entrance of the adjacent common bedroom.
