Interior Designer’s Thoughts
As a growing family of three, the homeowners were keen on an open-concept layout for their home and they requested a minimalist style with a Scandinavian influence. As they often host gatherings with family and friends, the spacious dining and living area serves as the main social hub of the home. Built-in cabinetry extending from the kitchen to the dining area was built to cater for additional storage and a coffee station. The interior designer suggested building a settee bench enjoined with the living room cabinets to create a seamless appearance. A neutral palette was chosen in the living room to create a sense of calmness, which blends perfectly with the unblocked views of the surrounding nature. Pops of colours were introduced using soft furnishings and fixtures to add vibrancy to the space. The master bedroom and bathroom were kept minimal to maintain a clean and pristine setting.
