The homeowners requested for a Farmhouse home interior with a modern twist. The design brief emphasised on having ample storage and a semi-open space that can perfectly fit their lifestyle and preferences. Being avid readers, one of the common bedrooms has been converted into a home office with a cosy library. The bi-fold sliding glass door serves as a partial segregation between spaces and allows a conducive environment for work from home days. The original walls of the wet kitchen were hacked down to cater for a spacious open-concept layout. This allows more natural light to enter the kitchen from the balcony. To further enhance Farmhouse elements, lattice glass design on the sliding doors and panel were installed in certain parts of the home. Keeping in mind their pet dog, the homeowners wanted a dedicated spot for it to lounge around. To achieve this, the original study room has been converted into a room for their dog with built-in storage cabinets for pet-related items.
